Shawn Jole was born and raised in Sacramento to parents who both worked for the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department. After graduating from Christian Brothers High School and working various jobs in the private sector, Shawn embarked on his law enforcement career. He began as a Security Officer for the Sacramento County Courts and put himself through the Sacramento Sheriff’s Academy. Upon his graduation in December of 2002, he was immediately sworn in as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff with Sacramento County Sheriff, working primarily in the Custody and Court divisions. Shawn has worked for both large and small agencies in central and northern California. He comes to Mt. Shasta from the City of Weed where he served the community as a School Resource Officer, Field Training Officer, and Corporal.
Shawn loves the rural life and “small-town” communities of Siskiyou County. When not on duty, Shawn and his wife tend to their farm including alpacas, chickens and an old horse. When time permits, he works on his 1962 Willys or his RC cars.
